NetCom Lite are industrial-strength networked based Serial Device Servers designed for connecting RS232 or RS422/485 devices directly to the 10/100Mbps Ethernet running TCP/IP. They are available with RS232 only ports (x11 models) or with RS232/422/485 ports configurable by DIP-switch (x13 models). NetCom Lite used in Driver Mode make a remote serial port to act as a virtual local COM port. In this mode a software application can directly control remotely located devices, such as data collection systems over network. The NetCom Lite require a small amount of power only. They may get their supply by Power over Ethernet, PoE IEEE 802.3af. This option is implemented in one and two port models.
