NetCom Pro are based on a more powerful RISC processor than the NetCom Lite. They offer serial ports as of RS232/422/485, configurable by software or DIP-switch. Or the ports are pure RS232 on some models. Additionally to all features of the NetCom Lite they offer encryption of both data transfer and configuration over OpenVPN. This makes the NetCom Pro to a real Secure Server. Further they allow access to configuration and serial ports via PPP Dial-In and -Out on phone lines.
