The NetCom Mini P is an easy-to-use network-based serial device server for connecting one RS232 device like CNC, PLC, weighting scale, scanner and other directly to the 10/100Mbps Ethernet network running TCP/IP. The small and lightweight plastic case allows to mount it by the connection cables. NetCom Mini P is configured over Web Browser. Windows detects NetCom Mini P using UPNP function, the NetCom UPnP Manager also detects them in the LAN using UPNP. This UPnP Manager will also open the Web Browser to configure the NetCom Mini P. The NetCom Mini P serves as a transparent serial channel without operating system and distance limitation. The serial port redirection uses the protocol known as RFC2217. This is well known and tested for many use cases, so NetCom Mini P is a possible extension for existing installations. The NetCom UPnP Manager also installs devices communicating via the Internet.
VScom Driver for Windows XP to 7, Server 2003 to 2008 R2, both x86 and x64 Editions. The driver creates a virtual Com Port, and takes advantage of certain VScom extensions to RFC2217. The UPnP Manager detects NetCom Mini Servers, and permits to install them as virtual Com Ports in Windows. The Manager also installs servers connected to via Internet.
