The L-series is an economic solution for standard applications. The serial ports are based on a 16C550A UART with 16 byte FIFO. The eightfold maximum speed allows some irregular transmission rates. Vscom 200L UPCI Power provides configurable power supply to external devices over the serial port. The user may place +5V and/or +12V to the DB9 connector. This supply may be used by devices such as serial displays, EEPROM programmers, handheld scanners and many many more.
